SYNOPSIS:
 In1874, Maria Webber was born in England. She becomes a nurse but her acromagaly at age 32, (a pituitary gland problem) forced her to quit. She had married a man, Dominick, who died early and left her with four children to take care of. Then her parents died mysteriously. Saddened by that, she entered a competition and won because of her looks…size 11 shoe, 154 pounds. Everything grew from the acromagaly. She was then hired for a Barnum and Bailey freak exhibit and went on to Madison Square Garden’s freak show. She made a lot of money for her condition and was able to put her children in boarding schools. She died in 1933 and was buried in England.
