MORE THAN ART
What is art? Basquait, Beard, and SCRIPICS know.
I came up with a new form of art I call SCRIPICS. Jean-Michel Basquait and Peter Beard were two artists who produced something similar – that of combining ideas as a form of communication through comic books, animation, log lines, synopsis, found objects, scripts and dialogues, acting, music, graffiti. It’s freedom to express thoughts and hopefully a message is received. So that’s what this story is about…Basquait, Peter Beard and Scripics.
MIRACLE ART
Anna Coleman Watts was a recognized sculptor. She wanted to use her talent to help facially disfigured World War I soldiers.
Soldiers came to her studio to have casts made of their faces which were sculpted into clay and then made into prosthetic pieces from copper wire. From there, Anna would paint the masks to resemble the recipients skin tone. The masks were held in place with eye glasses or strings.
pig
PIG is about freedom and not to be killed for bacon or ham.
PIG is on trial for escaping death by leaping from a slaughter truck. His break-out caused car accidents and the police had to chase him. He wanted sanctuary.
True to the SCRIPICS description: PIG is animated, has printed dialogue, and the SANCTUARY song lyrics are at the end.
MATH, ZERO, AND THE DEVIL
Like all SCRIPICS, it’s about combining: animation, comic book art, music, songs, dialogue, and acting for the entire story.
MATH,ZERO AND THE DEVIL will show you about numbers: where they came from, their use, and how important they are. Number history also talks about one of the creators and his contract with the devil. This story leaves much to think about.
SMITHEREENS
is about Sue Smith who opens a crime cleaning business.
This is the SMITHEREENS I SCRIPICS trailer. SMITHEREENS 1, 0, 2 and 3 are also screenplays and episodics.
SONGS: BLOWFLIES ARE FIRST, FEAR RAGE PAIN.
ORANGE POISON
Like all SCRIPICS, it’s about combining: animation, comic book art, music, songs, dialogue, and acting for the entire story.
Charles and Frank were friends. The Vietnam War was happening. Charles went to Vietnam as a helicopter pilot at Frank’s suggestion. Frank got a 4-F and he was no longer in the Navy service. He writes Charles a letter. Charles did his helicopter piloting without fail, even through the Agent Orange smoke. He died from it when the Vietnam War was over and he had gone to his parent’s house.
