SYNOPSIS:
Before Herb died he asked his best friend, Sterling, to toss his cremated ashes in the river next to where he had kept his sailboat. Sterling promised he would. Herb’s wife kept the ashes and Sterling was left to wonder what to do about it. Sterling thinks about his own fate and that of animals, too.
The cremation process and biodegradable urns are explored.
