By 2015, Alexei Navalny was a prolific blogger and a producer of videos which demonstrated his skill and ability to reach large audiences. Every protest, rally, court hearing, jail, poisoning, threats, surveillances, searches, and a run for the 2018 Russian presidency, which was denied, were recorded and streamed on the internet. This showed that government initiated actions escalated his political popularity and supported his anti-corruption efforts. With four million YouTube followers, Alexei was now squarely in the international spotlight. The greater the number of followers and supporters gave him greater approval ratings and he is now a bigger threat for the Kremlin.

In August of 2020, he was poisoned. They say that when he lost consciousness he was a Russian political figure and when he woke from his coma he became a global political figure. His most famous quote is, “United Russia is a party of crooks and thieves.”
