WYRD is a story of gods, government, greed, and global warming. Eschaton will have the last say. Fate will decide.

SYNOPSIS:

A colony of cats is surviving on Iceland. They live in straw huts built by two jotnars, who protect, help, and live with them. The huts are near the river, which they drink from, fish, and bathe in. Nearby is the grassland which supplies them with mint, catnip, and couch grass. Their lives are controlled by the Holy Order, gods which predict the end of life, Eschaton. They also threaten them with Hildolfr, the fire breathing wolf, and Calder, the poison-sprayer sea serpent. The cats accept the Holy Order teachings, but they also see that Terra is heating up.
They sense that the environment is in danger. Now the cats face a war with newcomer dogs, who want to rid them from the land. The dogs think they will divert the river and cut off their life line and burn their grassland. They do not believe in the Holy Order or in any environmental warnings.
As the war begins, so does Eschaton. The fire breathing wolf and the sea serpent come. All lives are threatened. The cats escape the land in a wooden boat they had hidden near the ocean. What happens to the cats, dogs, the jotnars, the wolf, and sea serpent, is for all to wonder, worry about, and attribute to fate.
